The ASME B16.5 Weldoflange is an integral flangeolet that combines a Weld Neck flange hub with a butt weld branch connection (per MSS SP-97). The branch is beveled for butt welding directly to the pipe, providing a full-strength connection without the need for a separate tee or fitting. The weldoflange is the strongest type of branch connection and is preferred for high-pressure and high-temperature service.
