A Spade is a solid metal disc with a hole and integral tag/handle used to block flow between two companion flanges. A Spacer (or spacer-r-spacer) is a ring that allows flow when installed in place of the spade. Unlike the Spectacle Blind (which is a single assembly), the Spade and Spacer are two separate components, allowing more flexibility in isolation configuration.
