The ASME B16.5 Long Weld Neck Flange (LWN) is similar to a standard Weld Neck flange but with an extended hub that serves as a pipe or casing extension. The extended hub length provides additional reinforcement and is typically used for tie-in welds, vessel nozzles, or when the pipe engagement length exceeds the standard Weld Neck hub. The LWN provides maximum strength for critical high-pressure and high-temperature applications.
