Forged Pipe Fittings - ASME B16.11 / MSS-SP-97

Socket weld and threaded fittings. Weldolets and Sockolets for branch connections. 1/2" - 4" (DN15 - DN100), Class 2000 - 9000LB.

Product Range Overview

JIAJI FORGING manufactures a comprehensive range of forged pipe fittings including ASME B16.11 socket weld and threaded fittings (elbows, tees, caps, couplings, unions, etc.) and MSS-SP-97 Olets (Weldolets, Sockolets, Threadolets) for branch connections. Our fittings are used in oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, and industrial piping systems worldwide.

Olets - Weldolets, Sockolets, Threadolets

MSS-SP-97 Standard | 1/2" - 24" | SCH10S - SCHXXS | For high-pressure branch connections in piping systems

Weldolets

Connection: Butt Weld (BW)

Standard: MSS-SP-97

Size Range: 1/2" - 24" (DN15 - DN600)

Schedule: SCH10S - SCHXXS

Weldolets provide a strong, leak-resistant branch connection by welding the olets directly to the run pipe. Preferred for high-pressure and high-temperature applications in oil, gas, and petrochemical piping.

Sockolets

Connection: Socket Weld (SW)

Standard: MSS-SP-97

Size Range: 1/2" - 24" (DN15 - DN600)

Schedule: SCH10S - SCHXXS

Sockolets feature a socket weld connection for the branch outlet. Suitable for small-to-medium size branch connections where socket weld is preferred or required by project specification.

Threadolets

Connection: Threaded (TH)

Standard: MSS-SP-97

Size Range: 1/2" - 24" (DN15 - DN600)

Schedule: SCH10S - SCHXXS

Threadolets provide threaded branch connections where welding is not permitted. Typically used for instrument connections, sampling lines, and low-pressure auxiliary piping.

TH Connection MSS-SP-97 No-Weld

Socket Weld (SW)

Fitting has a socket bore. Pipe is inserted into socket and fillet welded. Used for small bore, high pressure applications. Better pressure containment than threaded.

Threaded (TH)

Internal NPT/BSPT threads. No welding required. Used for low-pressure, temporary, or no-weld applications. Not recommended for severe cyclic conditions.

Butt Weld (BW)

Beveled ends for butt welding to pipe. Seamless bore with smooth flow path. Preferred for high-pressure and high-temperature applications.

ASME B16.11 Pressure Class Reference

Threaded and socket weld fittings are rated by pressure class (2000#, 3000#, 6000#, 9000#) which corresponds to different maximum working pressures at various temperatures.

Class Threaded (NPT) Max WP Socket Weld Max WP Typical Application
2000#~1000 psi~1000 psiLow pressure, general service
3000#~2000 psi~2000 psiMedium pressure, process piping
6000#~3000 psi~6000 psiHigh pressure, oil & gas
9000#~N/A~9000 psiVery high pressure

Note:

Pressure ratings per ASME B16.11 are for reference at room temperature. Actual working pressure depends on temperature, material, and service conditions. Always verify with project engineering specifications.
